Welcome to the home of McYapndFries, a Malaysian based movie news and review podcast.
We’ve been podcasting this since 2008, we kind of like doing it and we hope you will enjoy listening to our weekly rants

What happened to the old site ?

If you remember the old site, bless you and I hope you feel better soon.
If you are finding the new site a little confusing here’s a list of the major changes:

1. Podcasts and news entries (which used to be split across on 2 separate pages) are all shown on the home page now, but are also separated into separate categories. Podcasts still have a separate page here in case you want to avoid the rest of our twaddle, but you could be missing out as we hope to increase the amount of original content and opinion that we have on the a site.
2. The url for the podcast feed should be the exact same as it was before http://www.mcyapandfries.com/xml/McYapAndFriesCast.xml  however you can also subscribe to all the content, podcasts and newsposts via this URL http://www.mcyapandfries.com/category/podcasts/feed

How do I subscribe to the podcast via iTunes?

If you want iTunes to check for new podcasts and download new ones automatically click here to open our webpage at iTunes and click on the “View in iTunes” button. This will open the McYapandFries page in the iTunes store where you can either get individual podcasts or subscribe to the feed for automatic downloads to your iPod.

If iTunes doesn’t open automatically, then open it manually, select “Advanced” from the menu bar, and choose the “Subscribe to Podcast…” and enter http://www.mcyapandfries.com/xml/McYapAndFriesCast.xml in the box that pops up.

How do I get updates when the content on the site is updated?

We now have a McYapAndFries facebook page where you can see all updates made to the main site and link to them if you like.
To see all McYapAndFries updates in your facebook news feed click the “like” button at the top of our facebook page available here.

If you use an RSS reader you can subscribe to different categories via RSS as follows

All the old content has been migrated and is available on this site, if you are looking for a particular review toy can use the search form or else browse through the archive by date using the Archive links around the page.

What are Comments?

You can now leave comments on each podcast and newspost and we highly recommend you do. We will be reading them. If we agree/disagree/feel you have a good point we’ll probably discuss your point(s) in the podcast so make sure to leave an name that you are comfortable having read out “on air”back

Why can’t I see my comment/where has my comment gone/what is your comment policy?

We review every comment made before it can appear on the site, so this may take a little while and your comment won’t show until we’ve approved it.This is to prevent abuse or offensive comments.
McYapAndFries is just a fun place to talk about movies, so we reserve the right to keep it that way by deleting comments if we feel they are not in this spirit.
We also have to pay for this site so we have final say in what goes on it.
If you are not happy that one of your comments were deleted, there’s literally nothing you can do about it. Welcome to the internet!
Hopefully we won;t need to go to hard on this.
McYapandfries also uses a spam filter to prevent the comments from filling up with garbage (we get about 30 garbage comments a day) so if you feel you made a a reasonable comment that did not appear then email admin@mcyapandfries.com
