Late Night with Conan McYap

by on Jan.25, 2010, under Newspost

It looks like the late night wars seem to be coming to a close, hilarious as they were and it’s time to move on, to movies and ridiculous rumours about Conan (“The Barbarian” not “O’Brien”) casting.

Yes it’s time for another podcast available as usual in the podcast section.

Review OF THE DECADE

by on Jan.17, 2010, under Newspost

As is now customary we took this week’s cast to have a look back at the movies oF both the year, and the decade that just passed us by.

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last 10 years, let me point out that this was bloody difficult!
So many movies, choosing between them was sooo hard, like choosing which friend to throw on the fire to keep oneself warm (Gavin first, always).

I hope you enjoy our choices, if not, then let us know about it. You can reach us at podcast@mcyapandfries.com and we’d love to hear from you.
Til next time..

TWENTYTEN

by on Jan.10, 2010, under Newspost

It’s the dawn of a new decade and hopefully a new age of peace and prosperity for mcyapandfries.

As has now become traditional (twice counts right?), we didn’t bother doing a round of up the year, or the decade, before they actually ended and there are still a good few movies we’ve got to catch and review before we can close that door, so keep an eye out for some additional year-in-review segments, in addition to the weekly cast over the next while.

Oh and the latest podcast is now ready for download

A revolution in cinema…

by on Dec.20, 2009, under Newspost

..or just another movie?
Find out what Gavin, myself and special guest Chi Ren think of Jim Cameron’s long awaited 3D extravaganza Avatar in this weeks podcast.

This will be our last cast for a week or two as the xmas holidays kick in but we’ll be back with a review of the year/decade early 2010.

It’s so weird typing 2010.

So
Happy Christmas and a very happy new year to you all from McYapandFries.

Yes we are indeed back, after our short unplanned break. Unfortunately work got the better of both of us for the last few weeks but we have a fresh cast for you this week and will endeavor to keep delivering the goods on a weekly basis from here on in.

Well… except for next week when I’m away.

And then there’s Christmas.

Well enjoy this week’s cast anyway, there’ll be another one along..soonish

Nazi Zombies or Zombie Nazi's?

by on Nov.08, 2009, under Newspost

It’s an age old question: what do you call the undead Reich?
We don’t even attempt to solve this age old riddle in this weeks podcast when discussing Norwegian horror “Dead Snow”. We do however get through some juicy news and manage to fit in 500 words on “(500) Days of Summer” starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel.

Thunderbolts and Lightening…

by on Nov.01, 2009, under Newspost

Not so very frightening when we’re wrapped up cosy indoors, but it is apt for Halloween that this week’s podcast was punctuated by ominous rumblings throughout, especially as we ignored this fact completely and reviewed some “nice” animated movies and a live performance movie. Which ones you might ask? You’ll have to download the podcast to find out.
