This week’s podcast is a little different. To mark the arrival of Gavin’s film Geng Kubur on Netflix at the end of August 2024, we teamed up with the Geeks in Malaysia podcast for a special crossover episode!
In this special podcast Nick and Amelia (from Geeks In Malaysia) and I interview some of the cast and crew of the movie including:

We weren’t going to miss the chance to talk X-Men, the return of Hugh Jackman, how was Wolverine’s hair and suit, whether Deadpool talked too much and of course share our thoughts on all references and cameos throughout the movie.

If somehow you STILL haven’t seen Deadpool and Wolverine, we hold off on discussing spoilers until 16:48 , but short version; if you liked the first 2 you’ll probably like this.

Y’now we did have a super timely and up to the minute movie review podcast recorded and ready to go but then… as you know life sometimes gets in the way. This week we have a watery double bill as director Xavier Gens takes us Under Paris and for our main event it’s the return (again) of Godzilla in Takashi Yamazaki’s Godzilla Minus One.

Podcast 233: The Crow (1994)

Giving up any pretense of keeping up with current releases, Gavin and Iain delve into 1994’s The Crow on our latest podcast. Starring the late Brandon Lee and directed by Alex Proyas this is such a formative movie for us it’s amazing we’ve not covered it before. Having not seen it in a few years, can it possibly stand up to today’s modern movie standards?
Is there room for the original to be improved upon by the upcoming remake starring Bill Skarsgård (spoilers: that’s a big fat no!).
Join us as we discuss our feelings on the film, what makes it stand out to us today, our love of the mazing cast and a taste of what we might be doing in future.
